The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has fully pardoned his former National Security Adviser, Michael Flinn, who has been charged with lying federal investigators on contacts with the Russian ambassador. –
Trump told of the pardon on the social media site Twitter, and at the same time wished the general a happy Thanksgiving.

In December 2017, he Admittedthat he had discussed Washington’s sanctions against several Russian individuals and companies over the phone with the then Ambassador of the country, Sergei Kislyak, without appropriate authority.
