US President Donald Trump today accused Pfizer of deliberately publishing the results of an extensive clinical study of its covid-19 vaccine after the US presidential election. According to him, the pharmaceutical company did not have the “courage” to inform about the progress in the development of the vaccine before the vote.
In a series of tweets, Trump criticized not only the American company Pfizer, which is developing the vaccine in cooperation with the German company BioNTech, but also the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is responsible for approving the vaccine in the USA. “The FDA and the Democrats did not want me to achieve a vaccine victory before the election, so it came five days later, as I said all along,” the president said on Twitter.
