Trouble in the Netherlands: Sinterklaas News and Santa’s Struggles

The hundreds of thousands of families who were ready again today were of course confronted with the problems that Santa encountered again this year during his trip to the Netherlands.

The program is always well watched and attracts almost more viewers than the Eight Hour News. For example, the Sinterklaas news of November 11 last year attracted 1.7 million viewers.

The program is also notable for its high percentage postponed viewing. No TV program is rewatched with as much delay as the Sinterklaas news. At its peak last year it was 69 percent.
