The Hurricane Center said it is too early to know if Elsa will affect Florida, although the cone shows parts of the state within the five-day path of Storm Elsa. However, there is significant uncertainty in the forecast for the trajectory between the weekend and Tuesday, the NHC said. Discrepancies in the trajectory have made meteorologists’ confidence in the projection “lower than usual,” the NHC said.
