It is not entirely ironic that trolls in particular are making history as the first online-only release of a large-budget film. Trolls World Tour, the sequel of the animated Singfabelzwerge from 2016 is generally regarded as a test film for whether a direct, comparatively expensive start to VoD is economically sensible – possibly also beyond the corona virus phase.
