“Initially, a test of the iPhone showed” winds “of 79.5 mbps (download) and 16.3 mbps (upload). But it looks like there was a phone stop here. After testing the Internet with a Mac, the test results were 183 mbps (download) and 25.98 mbps (upload), ping was 67 ms, and another test showed 254 mbps (download) and 25.4 mbps (upload). I am very satisfied, ”M. Pareščius shared the test data with Delfi.

Mobile Internet speed, meanwhile, has been much slower. Telia’s Internet speeds of 6.69 mbps (download) and 5.29 mbps (upload) were tested in the same location.

The Minister of Transport and Communications Marius Skuodis previously told ELTA that he was pleased with the quick and successful result of cooperation with this US company. “The most important works for the start of providing these services in Lithuania were managed smoothly and we are glad that they succeeded so quickly. The company informed us that speeds of 100-150 Mb / s can be expected in the coming months, but in the near future both the speed of the Internet and the quality of services will improve. So, the “space” Internet is already here, “said M. Skuodis.

According to M. Skuodis, this important step will help Lithuania to achieve the goal of 2025, so that all Lithuanians will have access to at least 100 Mb / s speed Internet, and Lithuania could become a bridge for the development of satellite Internet in the Baltic markets.
