The gathering will be held in front of the Édouard Herriot hospital, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., to pay tribute to the healthcare professionals who died from Covid-19.
The death last Wednesday of Louhnisse Gana, 61, a caregiver at the Edouard-Herriot hospital in Lyon, who died of Covid-19, has profoundly changed the world of health professionals. Caregivers who are on the front line every day to fight this disease and protect their patients, even if it means paying for it with their own lives.
In order to pay tribute to Louhnisse Gana as well as to all the caregivers who died in this sad year 2020, a gathering will take place this Monday at the end of the afternoon, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., in front of the Edouard Herriot hospital ( Lyon 3).
The initiative was taken by the South Social Health union section of the Edouard-Herriot hospital. In addition to this moment of meditation, the union also wishes to draw attention to the material needs of the health services, to the need to hire staff, to create more intensive care beds and to a salary increase, around 400 euros net, for all hospital staff.
