In theory, Salah Abdeslam, the only survivor of the group that carried out the attacks of November 13, 2015, faces the heaviest sentence, life imprisonment as author or accomplice of murders by an organized gang in connection with a terrorist enterprise.
Other defendants face heavy sentences. This is the case of Mohamed Abrini who took part in the logistics of the attacks, even asserting during the trial that he had been chosen to participate in the attacks of November 13 but had withdrawn the day before, which would have forced Salah Abdeslam to take his place.
Other defendants involved in the escape of Salah Abdeslam face up to 20 years in prison for terrorist criminal association, even if they did not participate directly in the attacks.
