A tree fell on the road on the Middenweg in Watergraafsmeer this evening. The tram line and a parked car were damaged. No one was injured, a fire service spokesman said.

The fire brigade and ambulance attended the incident. Before they could bring the area to safety, the GVB had to disconnect the power from the tram line. The emergency services have since left and the tree service is busy clearing the tree.
Due to the roadblock and damage to the tram line, tram 19 will temporarily travel via Wijttenbachstraat to Flevopark. The CFP advises travelers to take into account a maximum travel time of 15 minutes for the time being.
