We wonder: Nobody wants to enter the country past Week at Zurich Airport to see our PCR test. We got off the plane, marched to the baggage claim – and left the airport. Without anyone checking whether we were tested on Mallorca as requested, let alone whether the test was negative.
It was completely different when we entered the airport in Palma de Mallorca a few days earlier: We were received by women in protective suits who carefully scrutinized our certificates. Anyone caught without or with an invalid PCR test must be tested on site. And there is a risk of hefty fines: Violations of the strict Covid rules are punishable by up to 60,000 euros. The message is: The pandemic is being taken seriously in this country. Anyone who cooperates is welcome.
