War in Ukraine, inflation, explosion of prices and operating costs… The economic situation inevitably weakened the budget, already amputated by half of the State’s overall allocation. A budgetary tightrope for local elected officials.

In Puttelange, Joseph Ghamo details his commitments. “After the hunt for waste and the completion of our first program at 90%, now we practice a prudent management of operating costs, we watch over the thermal insulation of municipal buildings, and ensure a reasoned management of public lighting” explains the mayor. The local authority is also flattered to be able to entrust the works to the three communal technical agents, whose “involvement and professionalism” Joseph Ghamo salutes.

The renovation of the municipal roads, a worksite with drawers, began in 2015 (€400,000, 90% of the program completed). The second phase (2020-2026), two-thirds completed, “will continue on rue de la Gare (€325,000 excluding tax), rue des Fleurs, Tilleuls and Églantines, and will be completed in 2026, for an overall cost of around €1 million. €”, is satisfied the mayor, sweeping with a sure hand the balance sheet on PDF.

Other actions to come

New games (€43,000, 50% CAF aid) school and extracurricular, updating the website, care for historical and religious heritage are among the projects. The lack of subsidies could limit the recreation area project (games, city-stadium and bowling alley) in Himeling to the construction of a city stadium and a bowling alley. In the boxes, a video surveillance project, a tool in the fight against crime, is being studied. Regarding the perpetrators of incivility and illegal deposits, the municipality warns: it will not let them act with impunity.
