It will be transformed into a huge neighborhood with 680 housing units and a station on the T6 tram line.

“It is a ‘piece of town’ which is being built on this surface of more than five hectares. A city which remains accessible to everyone (680 housing units, more than a third of which are social housing), which creates economic activity premises (8,000m²) and which is building a municipal crèche,” rejoices the mayor of Villeurbanne Cédric. Van Styvendael, visiting the site on Friday March 15.

A park and a station for the T6 tram

In the heart of the district, a 2.3 hectare park will be developed and a T6 tram station will allow you to get closer to the Sky Scrapers and the Doua campus in a few minutes.

The “Salengro” station will be one of ten new stops on the T6 extension. In order to maintain the memory of the place and recall the industrial heritage of the district, the future station, located to the northwest of the site, will denote traditional stations of the tram network.
