[TRANS] 210126 The music show “Old Wicked Song” will be extended by two weeks until March 1st. – Musical in Life

The music play “Old Wicked Songs” has decided to extend the performance period, which was originally scheduled for February 14th, by two weeks to March 1st.

The “Old Wicked Song” which has been well received by the audience since its opening in December, made the decision to appease the disappointment of the audience, who had few opportunities to watch due to the government’s distance guidelines, and to give comfort and hope to those who silently overcome difficult times.

Written by U.S. playwright Jon Marans, “Old Wicked Song” is a two-person play about the meeting between genius pianist Steven Hoffman and eccentric professor Josef Marshkan in Vienna, Austria, in 1986, and is a warm work of two people who have completely different backgrounds and artistic tendencies to communicate through music and comfort the past pain.

In particular, the work is a musical play centered on Robert Schumann’s representative song “Dichterliebe” and Schumann’s music and Heineken’s poems penetrate the entire work from the first to the last song, completing the two people’s stories in abundance. In addition, classical melodies from great musicians such as Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Strauss fill the stage and give a deep echo.

This season, when Nam Kyung-eup and Nam Myung-ryul returned to the new production, will take the stage as eccentric professors Marshkan, while Lee Jae-kyun, Jung-hwi and Choi Woo-hyuk will share the roles of genius pianist Steven, respectively.

The music play “Old Wicked Song” which extended the performance until March 1st, can be seen at the Yes24 Stage 3 Hall in Daehangno.
