In August, Trump appointed Atlas of Neuroradiology as Special Adviser to the White House Coronavir Task Force. In this position, Atlas claimed that face masks and social distancing were not effective in stopping the spread of the new coronavirus, as well as urging the creation of crowd immunity and faster reopening of schools and businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
