According to the contractors who carried out the continuous monitoring of the technical condition of the Brasa transmission structures, no damage was found during the inspection, which reduces the operational safety of the transmission in the restricted mode.
During the analysis of the data, the specialists concluded that the deviations outside the normal limits for the transmission were caused by the strict limitation of the driving speed to 20 km / h.
As previously informed by the Traffic Department, deviations of certain measurements outside the norm were recorded during the monitoring of the transmission, therefore the tram traffic was immediately closed.
The contractors are instructed to continue the continuous monitoring of the technical condition of the Brasa transmission structures.
The transmission is currently being reinforced. It is planned that after the completion of the strengthening works of all supports and the processing of the monitoring data analysis, low-floor trams will be able to run over the transmission.
