Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – Free travel for commuters and travelers: Train traffic between Friedberg and Frankfurt has been open again since Tuesday morning after two weeks of construction work. Regional and long-distance trains as well as trains on the S-Bahn line 6 were affected by the closure, according to a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn. In the last two weeks, tracks have been laid over a length of around 2.5 kilometers and concrete beams for the new Niddabrücke in Bad Vilbel have been lifted.

The S-Bahn tunnel in Frankfurt will be closed until the end of the Easter holidays due to modernization work on the tracks and switches.
