RESSEN – A tractor with two trailers full of hay bales collided with a car on the Ressensestraat in Ressen on Saturday evening. Things went completely wrong at the narrowing of the road on Ressensestraat. A trailer overturned and the heavy hay bales rolled across the street.

The tractor came from the direction of Bemmel and drove towards Oosterhout. When approaching the narrowing of the road, the farmer already had to swerve for two cars that did not give way to the tractor. When the farmer wanted to accelerate because a third car was initially waiting, the driver of that car decided to pull up anyway, after which the collision ensued in the narrowing of the road.

The farmer fled with all his might, but still hit the passenger car. The trailer with 16 hay bales overturned in the accident. A colleague of the contractor has collected the rolled away bales and placed them at the side of the road.

The Ressensestraat was completely closed during the accident. The accident could have been much worse had the farmer not swerved.
