Investigations continue into what appears to be a domestic accident involving a knife.
The Civil Guard of Guadalajara is investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy after suffering, presumably, a domestic accident this Saturday with a knife in a house in Cifuentes.
Investigation sources have confirmed to EFE that the minor was 4 years old and suffered a domestic accident with a knife after which he was transferred to Guadalajara.
It all happened on Saturday afternoon at the family home. The medical care received in the first instance at the local Health Center was able to keep him alive until he was transferred from ICU to the Guadalajara Hospital, but nothing could be done given the child’s massive loss of blood.
The commotion in the town is maximum and the council has expressed its deepest condolences to the family. “We are shocked by such a tragic event. We are aware that gestures do not calm the pain, but they do show the support and closeness of many people from the town who want to convey their solidarity and sincere condolences to family and friends,” the City Council said.
It also reported that the mortal remains of the child were transferred to the Coslada funeral home where he will be watched from Sunday afternoon so that he can be cremated on Monday.
