Comedian Ryo Fukawa (49) appeared on TBS’s “Hiruobi!” (Monday-Friday 10:25) on the 31st. He mentioned the death of Hinako Ashihara, the original author of the drama “Sexy Tanaka-san.”
Ashihara is the author of the manga “Sexy Tanaka-san,” which was made into a drama in October last year. He was found dead on the 29th in Tochigi Prefecture. He just announced on SNS on the 26th about the troubles surrounding the drama script for “…Tanaka-san.” According to Ashihara’s post, he agreed to the drama in June last year. At that time, through a representative from Shogakukan, he gave conditions such as “be sure to be faithful to the manga” and “even for the final part of the original drama, the original author will prepare everything from the synopsis to the dialogue.” However, he claims that those conditions have been ignored. He said that he “determined that I had no choice but to write” episodes 9 and 10.
