Traffic Restrictions in Graz for the Week

If there are no weather-related changes, the people of Graz expect the following traffic restrictions this week according to the road authorities:

Waltendorfer Hauptstrasse

In the Breitenweg area, a post regulation between 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. applies from August 16 to September 8 due to milling and asphalting work after excavations in the previous year.

From August 18, 2023, access to the northern Neutorgasse at the major construction site will only be possible from the south via Marburger Kai. The area between Joanneumring and Landhausgasse is closed to traffic. Demolition, excavation, road and line construction work takes place. And at Jakominiplatz-West there will be obstructions due to road, line and track construction work.

Monday and Tuesday (holiday) are non-working. From Wednesday, August 16th, the construction work between the central cemetery and the Puntigam brewery district to expand line 5 will continue – including at the Plachelhofstraße elevator system and the Brauquartier retaining wall. A rail replacement service will be in place by November 2024.
