The Försterhaus stop in Töss is only available on paper. A possible stop has been reserved on the tracks to Zurich in the Eichliacker district since 1978. At last it seemed like the idea was definitely buried. In the summer, the Winterthur city council applied for the Försterhaus station to be removed from the cantonal structure plan. In December he was followed by the Zurich government council. Does this mean the definitive end of the dream of one day traveling from Töss to Zurich and back without changing?
Lobbying in Bern and Zurich
Kurt Egli from the VCS thinks: No, the forester’s house is not off the table yet. Lobbying for the station is currently taking place on two levels. In the days before Christmas, the VCS and various local parties sent statements to the Federal Office of Transport in Bern. They demand that the planned Försterhaus station be included in the so-called transport sector plan. Specifically, it is about the plans for the Brütten tunnel. An order is to be formulated to coordinate the tunnel project with the Försterhaus stop and to look for solutions to possible conflicts.
