Motorbike driver and passenger injured in frontal collision
A motorcycle and a car collided in Farnern on Saturday. Two people had to go to the hospital, one by helicopter.

Shortly after 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, a motorcycle crashed head-on into an oncoming car on Schmiedenmattstrasse in Farnern, on the border with the canton of Solothurn.
As reported by the cantonal police in Bern, the motorcyclist was seriously injured and had to be transported to a hospital by ambulance. The woman who was sitting on the back of the motorcycle was also injured in the fall. She was flown to the hospital by helicopter. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road remained closed to traffic for several hours. The police have launched an investigation into the exact course of the accident.
