TPP “Bobov dol” stopped working after the New Year for preventive maintenance, but mainly because of the low prices of electricity on the stock exchange, the executive director Eng. Lyubomir Spasov told BNR. One block will be launched tonight and until Thursday morning, the next night – and a second block, he added.
The plant shut down several times last year due to planned repairs or low electricity prices on the exchange. In this case, the reason is the low electricity prices, commented the executive director:
“We don’t have any problem, due to which the plant is not working at the moment, but we have stopped for prevention – we use the low electricity prices. Now – at night, we light up, in the morning we should already be in production. We will launch one and the next day – another unit 150 kilowatt-hours per unit,” said Eng. Lyubomir Spasov, quoted by BNR.
