Tova Borgnine, the Norwegian wife of the late Hollywood star Ernest Borgnine, has passed away – 80 years old.

Tova Borgnine, who originally came from Oslo, died in her own home in Beverly Hills on 26 February.
This is confirmed by Michele Uram, spokesperson for the deceased’s construction company to the website Deadline.
No cause of death has been identified.
Husband, Oscar-winning Ernest Borgnine, died in 2012, 95 years old. Da VG interviewed the widow shortly after, she explained that just before his death he had planned to visit Norway. The couple were often guests in her native country.
– I am an American citizen, but for me Oslo will also always be a home. I am proud of my country and my roots, Tova told VG in 2012.
Ernest Borgnine was also very fond of Norway.
–In 2010, Tova and her husband were profiled in the TVNorge documentary “Yes, we love Hollywood”. There, TV viewers got an insight into Tova’s life as a film lady and cosmetics queen in the USA, head of the beauty brand Beauty By Tova.
Tova has run its own cosmetics empire for 40 years.
Ernest and Tova met on a “blind date” in 1972. At that time, Ernest was about to divorce his fourth wife.
The following year he married his Norwegian love. Tova Borgnine leaves behind children, stepchildren and several grandchildren.
