In just over half a day from the launch of the new government program SISTER he spent almost 58 thousand travel vouchers, whose total value exceeded PLN 50 million – the Zakład informed on Twitter.

The first voucher payments have already appeared. SISTER announced that the beneficiaries made 244 such payments for a total of over PLN 231 thousand.

In simple terms – vouchers are awarded to those who are entitled to the supplement 500 PLN per child. Vouchers are also available for each child up to the age of 18, also in the amount of PLN 500, but they are one-time. Parents can download a voucher worth PLN 1,000 for a disabled child. The difference with the program 500 plus is that, according to the Senate amendments, the tourist voucher is also entitled to children whose parents work outside Poland.

The vouchers can be used to pay for hotel services or tourist events (including rehabilitation camps), their list is available on the website of the Polish Tourist Organization. Vouchers are valid until the end of March 2022 and cannot be exchanged for cash.

How to get a travel voucher?

No applications are required to receive the voucher. You only need to have a profile on PUE, which can be set up using a Trusted Profile or through your bank – as part of electronic banking. However, the travel voucher will need to be activated before we can use it. After activation, the beneficiary receives a code that can be used to make payments to tourist entities. We will receive a confirmation of payment in the form of an SMS.

Six and a half million children are entitled to the voucher. Bud¿et the program is over three and a half billion zlotys.
