A tourist who visited New York last week, decided to rent her room through Airbnb without knowing that the ad she used to choose it would end up giving her a big scare.
—
The photos on the website showed the room with a view of Manhattan, something that Desiree Baker and her boyfriend were excited about. “I was so excited. It was a two-bedroom hotel room, and had a great horizon with a large window that overlooked the outside, “he said, referring to the ad.
—
When they arrived at the hotel, she decided to draw the curtain to enjoy “the perspective of the New York skyscrapers.” However, he got a great scare, because from the window of the room he was looking directly at the people who were eating in the hotel restaurant.
—
“I wasn’t expecting it. I literally looked at my boyfriend and said, ‘We’re in a restaurant! We do not have a window to the outside. It was crazy”.

Faced with this situation, Baker was concerned about something else: that the people in the restaurant could see her and her boyfriend, inside your room.
—
Fortunately, he was able to confirm that this was not possible – the window itself had a reflective coating, making it a one-way mirror. So the restaurant customers could not see Baker they didn’t even know they were being watched.
—
Airbnb apologized to Baker. And the hotel in question, Cassa (near Times Square), is no longer part of Airbnb’s lodgings.
