A press conference is currently taking place with Minister of Health Rudolf Anschober (Greens) and Minister of Tourism Elisabeth Köstinger (ÖVP). It is about the “framework conditions for accommodation companies”.
“Today we are talking about the fourth opening step,” Anschober said. Anschober outlines the previous three opening steps, where there were no negative effects on the development of the number of cases in Austria.
The fourth step will take place on May 29. about the area of culture, the outdoor pools and “very, very strong” about the hotels and accommodation facilities.
With the “most important measure, spatial spacing, nothing should happen,” Anschober is confident.
The very essential one meter distance is further anchored. However, it may be possible to go below the limit where other measures make it possible – such as technical means. MNS is mandatory for hotel employees – “but only where there can be crowds and where there is customer contact. And so moderate rules are anchored.”
