The Toulouse artist Olivier Giner brings his artistic touch to the neurological department of the CHU Purpan in Toulouse.
“In order to find a way to brighten the path of the walls of our patients, we think that we could bring cheerfulness with works, where our patients could put their eyes”, explained then a member of the nursing staff.
A year later, the five works (50 x 65 cm) are ready: three large original and colorful birds await the patients and staff of the CHU, at the reception of the neurology department. Two other creations, made especially for the hospital and its staff, are distributed in the department’s two physiotherapy rooms.
“I don’t have any money, but I know how to imagine and create, testifies Olivier Giner. It is a real pleasure to support medical staff and patients. My mother is one of them”.
A decidedly prolific artist: at the end of 2021, Olivier Giner was offered the title of sponsor of the association “Autis’Mo et plus”. Then after having exhibited at the Maison des Associations in January 2022, for Garonne Expose, the Toulousain will exhibit at the end of 2022 in Los Angeles, with the association Mondial Art Academia. Before the town hall of Toulouse in 2023.
