Drivers of urban transport will meet this Thursday, at 11, in front of the UTA headquarters, in the middle of the total stoppage that started in the afternoon Wednesday, as a result of claims for non-compliance with wages and contributions to social work.
The call was launched in the last hours of Wednesday through a statement that went viral on social networks.
“We will go to our house, where they must watch over and take care of us,” stated the call in reference to the headquarters located at Avenida Vélez Sársfield at 588.
As a result of the concentration, the UTA headquarters was fenced this morning, while a strong security operation was mounted in the surroundings.
The conflict
The strike began partially on Wednesday morning, after self-convened drivers from the Eras and Aucor firms gathered at the end of the line on the Road to San Carlos to claim for wage defaults. As they pointed out, in some cases the debt would exceed 100,000 pesos per driver.
Hours later, UTA announced that the strike was extended to the rest of the lines that operate in the capital Córdoba and in other cities in the interior of the country where wage defaults are registered.
