God, how impudent they are. The ambassador in London Marin Raykov demanded that the sections in Great Britain be cut. That’s what he wrote Toshko Yordanov from “There is such a people” on Twitter.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Britain Marin Raykov has sent a letter to the Central Election Commission (CEC) requesting that the 86 sections that are expected to be opened on the island be significantly reduced.

The embassy insists that almost wherever it is planned to open 2, 3 or 4 sections, they should be reduced to one.

The proposal of the former prime minister was announced by the member of the commission Tsvetozar Tomov at its meeting on May 24.

“The embassy argues that given the larger number of sections that will be opened this time in the UK, they do not expect such pressure and as many people to vote in the respective places, and they believe that this reduced number sections would be enough, “Tomov explained the ambassador’s motives.

At the meeting, a number of committee members rejected the proposal.

“Now today we see that sections should be opened as appropriate, because, you see, the ambassador in London, whom we know very well, because he had previously traveled to Italy, France, did not like sections to be opened,” Gavrilov commented. And he angrily continued: “Is there an analysis of the embassy in London? No, I am convinced that they did not do an analysis … In London, 800 people will line up on one machine. We are sabotaging machine voting like this!” “.

The CEC will wait until the submission of applications for voting by Bulgarians abroad is completed, the deadline for which is June 15, and then it will make a final decision on the number of polling stations, said commission member Tsvetozar Tomov.
