Torchlight III takes place in the universe of Torchlight I & II and features all of the familiar game mechanics of the franchise, such as hack’n’slash battles, epic loot and the popular companion system that has captured the hearts of ARPG fans. Torchlight III takes place a century after the events of Torchlight II, in which the heroes defeated the Dark Alchemist and sealed the heart of the Nether Lord in the clockwork core. Each randomly generated area can be repeated endlessly as each instance offers different items. For even more epic gear, there are optional quests that grant fame and unlock elite items.
- The companions are there again: Faithful companions fight alongside the players on their way to fame and fortune. Each species comes in a variety of colors and styles. With additional skills and equipment, these companions can be made even stronger and more resilient for the common fight against the enemies.
- Birth of the hero: With four selectable classes, it is important to use class-specific mechanics in order to maximize the damage and the chances of survival. Torchlight III allows players to collect epic gear, select relic powers, and customize gear to create a unique fighting style for their heroes.
Torchlight III offers four different hero classes with unique skills and powers:
- The twilight magician is a magician who uses the powers of light and dark to cast devastating spells.
- The mechanicsmith is a powerful robot that relies on an arsenal of weapons to build up heat and unleash explosive attacks.
- The rail fighter is a locomotive-like powerhouse that goes into battle with a massive hammer and a heavily armed railroad.
- the sniper is a powerful and nimble ranged fighter who combines precise skills with ranged weapons and magical trinkets to fight enemies from a distance.
Torchlight III is the latest successor to the ARPG classics Torchlight I and IIoriginally developed by Runic Games. This fast dungeon crawler takes fans back into the Torchlight-Universe where you have to fight your way through a new world full of hordes of goblins, undead and other dangerous Netherim creatures. Adventurers can venture out into the wild, alone or with friends, looking for loot, exploring dungeons, collecting epic equipment, and building their own fort to show the world around.
