De Bruyne’s football career is arguably still long. The 30-year-old midfielder is the backbone of Man City and is under contract until 2025.
However, De Bruyne was already thinking about long-term plans when he later decided to hang up his boots. guard Belgian National Team he took a training course organized by the Belgian Football Association (KBVB).
Citing a report Daily Mail, Kevin De Bruyne and 10 other Belgian players have taken the KBVB coaching course since 2019. This course was held for license UEFA A and B.
De Bruyne completed his coaching course on Tuesday (31/5/2022). He is also entitled to a UEFA A license, the second highest coaching license in Europe after UEFA Pro.
Apart from De Bruyne, several other Belgian players who have received coaching licenses include Dries Mertens, Simon Mignolet, Dedryck Boyata, Matz Sels, Leandro Trossard, Youri Tielemans, Jan Vertonghen, and Axel Witsel.
With a UEFA A license in hand, De Bruyne has the right to be the head coach of the under-18 youth teams, reserve teams, to coach clubs competing in the second division of the league.
De Bruyne has already taken part in the youth team training sessions at the academy Manchester City. He considered being a coach was quite difficult because he had to prepare for training in earnest.
“It’s crazy. Sometimes it takes hours to prepare for a training session,” said Kevin De Bruynequoted from Daily Mail.
