Year after year, independent brokers determine the best insurers in every conceivable sector using “Brokers’ Favorites” and many other surveys. Due to their expertise, the brokers naturally use different evaluation criteria than their customers. Nevertheless, it should be interesting for the consultants to find out which insurers in which product areas enjoy the highest reputation in the eyes of their customers. This does not automatically apply equally to every customer. However, it is a mood picture that can be taken up in the consultation or deliberately left out.
The market research company Servicevalue is now providing an overview of the insurers with the best image among consumers on behalf of Focus Money. For this purpose, a total of 130,255 customer opinions were collected via an online panel in December 2023 and January 2024. However, these are not only spread across the insurance industry, but across 1,049 companies from a total of 50 different product areas, including mobile phone and car sharing providers. However, insurance with eleven product categories (see table below) makes up by far the largest share in the survey.
When evaluating the individual companies, consumers were only asked for their overall assessment, which was most likely highly subjective. You should only answer one question in relation to the product area and company: “In your own experience, to what extent is it true that offers and services from providers (…) are sold at fair conditions?” You should answer this within the following scale:
“completely agree” (1)
“I tend to disagree” (4)
“I can’t judge” (5)
