First weekend after the holidays. The Christmas atmospheres, the villages and the markets are now archived, we return to ordinariness. A Beautiful Italian History, the exhibition
The exhibition “A beautiful Italian story”, a photographic exhibition at Rome Ostiense station, will be open to the public over the weekend and until January 31st. The exhibition tells the journey of the FS Foundation in the decade 2013-2023. A beautiful Italian story characterized by the recovery of over 400 restored historic trains, which today speed by in compliance with current safety regulations, and a thousand kilometers of tourist railways, which over the years have given life to the Timeless Tracks project. Irreverent comedy “La Tenuta”
In the heart of Rome, on Sunday 14 January, “La Tenuta” will be staged, a show for those who giggle at funerals, for those who prefer champagne to soda, for those who meet ninja hedgehogs and are afraid of them, for those who repaint shutters on stilettos, for those who can’t say I miss you. At the City Lab 971 in via Salaria 971, the Lubox Produzioni Artistiche company returns. “La Tenuta” is a project by Luca Ariano, text and direction by Natalia Magni. Van Gogh Experience
Van Gogh Experience is the multimedia exhibition that enchants the senses by immersing them in the immense work of Vincent Van Gogh. Elvis, the musical at the Brancaccio Theatre
Elvis – The Musical arrives at the Brancaccio Theater from 11 to 14 January 2024. On stage, Presley’s story will be carried forward by three figures, child Elvis, Elvis and the last Elvis. The cast consists of 21 artists, including a 4-piece band. In just under 2 hours, the tribute musical retraces Elvis’ biography, through a historical period of over four generations from the 50s to the 70s, with immortal songs such as Jailhouse Rock, It’s now or never, Suspicious Mind, My Way, That’s all right mama, Always on my mind and many others that are always current and alive in the common memory, among original photos and videos of the time. “Sixth Power” with Francesco Montanari and Cristiano Caccamo
“Sesto Potere” is staged at the Ambra Jovinelli, the exciting theatrical show, written and directed by Davide Sacco with Francesco Montanari and Cristiano Caccamo. In an isolated warehouse, three boys are paid by an extremist party to invent fake news and manipulate the upcoming political elections. The night before the electoral silence, a well-known TV presenter interviews the deputy secretary of the party for which the boys work, putting him in difficulty and making him look bad in front of the whole country. The boys are casually watching live television and, worried that this could compromise their work, they decide that they will no longer create fake news against the opposing party, but that they will directly defame the TV host. Edoardo Leo introduces “Luigi Proietti known as Gigi”
Among the guests of the Casa del Cinema in January there will also be Edoardo Leo. The actor will introduce the documentary Luigi Proietti known as Gigi, a moving and sympathetic tribute to the great Gigi Proietti, whom Leo accompanied during his last tour. Strega Bistreg
On Sunday 14 January, the show “Strega Bistrega” by the Compagnia Ruotalibera Teatro arrives at Centrale Preneste Teatro, freely inspired by the fairy tale “The Child in the Sack” from the collection of popular fairy tales by Italo Calvino. The protagonist of the show is Strega Bistrega, a witch stubbornly ignorant, a survivor of an ancient and outdated witchcraft tradition. She has to find food and it’s not easy. Terraces and open courtyards in Torpignattara
Sunday 14 January, Terraces and Courtyards open again in Torpignattara. The event will open with the flashmob parade and the music of the Malamurga which will start from the “Cannone” and then cross via di Torpignattara and end at the Sangalli park. Afterwards, courtyards, terraces and private gardens will open which will host exhibitions, artistic performances, street artists, music, juggling, photography and much more and from this edition there will also be art studios and artisans who will keep their workshops open.
