Twitter account PopFoot, which specializes in unique statistics, published a ranking of players who scored and provided the most assists under the leadership of the Italian specialist Carlo Ancelotti.
The ranking also included a place for the legendary Ukrainian forward, and now the current president of the UAF – Andrey Shevchenko. Carlo led Milan from 2001 to 2009, while Shevchenko played for the Italian club from 1999 to 2006 and from 2008 to 2009. During this time, Shevchenko scored 103 goals and provided 33 assists for Ancelotti’s side in 219 matches.
In terms of total goals and assists, Andrey ranks 5th in this ranking. The leader of the top is Filippo Inzaghi, who played under Ancelotti in Milan and Juventus, played 332 matches, scoring 161 goals and giving 14 assists.
Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo played under the leadership of Carlo as part of the royal club from 2013 to 2015, managing to play in 101 matches and score 112 goals, as well as give 35 assists. In terms of goals and assists average, KriRo is Carlo’s most successful player in his coaching career – 1.46.
Interestingly, there is only one player on this list who is currently coached by Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid – Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian played in 127 matches, scored 56 goals and gave 40 assists.
Ancelotti’s men are currently in first place in the 2023/24 La Liga table. Real Madrid are 2 points ahead of Girona with 58 points.
