More than any other place, Broadway embodies New York extravagance, audacity and creativity. If the shows performed there are often renowned for their dialogues and irreverent humor, Broadway offers a vast choice of shows with extraordinary staging, choreography, costumes, and breathtaking sets, which you will have no trouble appreciating. whatever your level of English.
A Broadway show is always a memorable experience… Don’t deprive yourself of it just because English isn’t your strong point! So that language is not a barrier, opt for a show that focuses on the visual aspect, with few dialogues and a simple plot. Another good idea is to go see a show whose story or songs you already know: many Broadway shows have been adapted for cinema, or are themselves based on films.

The Lion King
The Lion King, the most popular show in Broadway history, often sells out. It must be said that all the ingredients are there: grandiose sets, costumes each more beautiful than the next, giant puppets and music by Sir Elton John… The show follows the plot of the Disney film, so you will have no trouble following the action.

Back to the Future
Back to the Future is a classic on the big screen but a newcomer on Broadway, since it has only been performed in New York since 2023. You already know the story! As for the music, the show features a mix of original songs and hits that appeared in the 1985 film.

& Juliet
If you like 1990s pop music, you’ll definitely have fun listening to it. & Juliet, which is a “musical jukebox” – meaning the majority of songs are covers of popular songs. Hits from Britney Spears, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys and many others are reinterpreted in this fun and very rhythmic show, which is inspired (very freely!) by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Red Mill !
Obviously based on the film of the same name, the musical Red Mill ! offers pure spectacle. The Parisian cabaret-style sets and costumes are spectacular, as is the choreography, which won a Tony Award in 2020. In two words: very entertaining.

Blue Man Group
Not quite on Broadway, but off-Broadway (smaller room and more modest production budget than a classic Broadway show), the show Blue Man Group become iconic requires no English skills. Just watch the blue men perform on stage…
