The secondary teachers’ organization is intensifying the sanctions and will shut down secondary education tomorrow (Thursday) from 10:00 to 8:00.
The chairman of the management of the teachers’ organization Ran Erez sent a letter to the chairman of the Center for Local Government Haim Bivas and the chairman of the regional councils Shay Hajj, in which he wrote: “This strike was announced because the Ministry of Finance refuses to negotiate with us regarding the signing of an agreement New collective work. We cannot continue to give a hand to the procrastination that has been going on for two years now, since February 2022. If this warning strike does not motivate them to negotiate matters, we will consider implementing additional organizational measures.”
High school teachers who spoke to “Kelvo – Haifa and the Kiryat” criticized Erez and the organization that saw fit to impose sanctions during wartime. “We support the struggle, but the timing is very important, and right now is not the right time,” said the organization’s female teacher.
