Tom Alandh and Lisa Larson receive a medal from the government

Alandh is a long-time employee of SVT and has made several well-known documentaries, among them the series about Martina who has Down’s syndrome and “The party leader who stepped out of the cold”, about the Social Democrats’ former party leader Håkan Juholt. A number of Alandh’s documentaries are available on SVT Play.

The ceramist Lisa Larson is awarded a medal of the twelfth size for “an artistry that has both renewed and enriched the Swedish arts and crafts”. Lisa Larson is well known for her characteristic figurines of animals and people in rounded shapes.

– The medals are given to someone who has done something great in culture, science and who has meant a lot to Sweden both nationally and internationally. You can really say that ceramicist Lisa Larsson and documentary filmmaker Tom Alandh have done that, says culture minister Jeanette Gustafsson to DN.

The medals are awarded in August.
