Today there will be a new protest against Uber in Buenos Aires
This morning at 10:00 hours a new protest is scheduled against Uber’s unfair competition in Argentina.
The demonstration is called on 9 de Julio and Lavalle avenues, next to the Obelisk, to march from there to the headquarters of the Afip, in Hipólito Yrigoyen.
The concentration is promoted by the Union of Taxi Drivers.
José Ibarra, representative of the union, says he has exhausted all the administrative claims available to him and for this reason they are back on the streets.
“We started mobilizing to Afip because it cannot be understood that Uber continues without paying taxes. The collection agency itself acknowledged that between 2016 and 2017 Uber evaded about 500 million pesos, “explains Ibarra.
The head of the Drivers Union says that this March or April the Supreme Court of Justice of Buenos Aires should rule in the case against Uber that they promoted.
