The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) will now carry out the act of Certification of Results of the 2024 Presidential Elections, where Nayib Bukele will be recognized as the legitimate winner, to govern in the five-year period that will begin on June 1, 2024 and will end on June 1, 2029.
The event will take place at the National Theater, in the Historic Center of San Salvador, near the area where thousands of people gathered on February 4 to celebrate the triumph of Nuevas Ideas.
Nayib Bukele will assume the position of president not only legitimized by the five judges of the TSE, who on February 17 signed the minutes of the final scrutiny that declared the electoral results final, but also by the support of 2,701,725 Salvadorans who voted for five years more of his presidential administration.
The president obtained support from 84.65% of the valid votes that declared Nayib Bukele as the winner of the presidential election, and recognized the triumph of Nuevas Ideas by winning 54 of the 60 deputies of the Legislative Assembly for the 2024-2029 triennium.
