Today on TV: Stephen King left the cinema early in this sci-fi blockbuster – and the film was a hit! – Cinema News

Horror author Stephen King has only left the cinema once (!) as an adult, and that was with a film that did well in the FILMSTARTS rating. You can watch the sci-fi actioner on TV tonight and see for yourself.

So bad that he had to leave the cinema? The horror pope did not explicitly state why Stephen King stopped watching this one film, but the assumption is that he simply couldn’t stand it. After all, King replied to a colleague on Twitter who wrote that he had walked out of Jurassic World 3: A New Age – and it’s really bad.

The blockbuster, which has the dubious honor of being the only film (at least up to the time of the tweet) in which King has left the cinema as an adult, has a good 3.5 stars on FILMSTARTS – but still Stephen King wanted “Transformers‘ Don’t look to the end.

You want to see for yourself whether the robot actioner is worth it? Then you can switch on Kabel 1 on February 20, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. Anyone who missed “Transformers” on TV on Monday evening will get another chance on Wednesday – the film will then be repeated at 11:10 p.m. on Kabel 1. And if you want to continue watching straight away, you can watch “Transformers 1-5”, for example. Get it as a Blu-ray Collection.

By the way, King made it clear in another tweet that it really is THE “Transformers” from 2007 with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. One fan wanted to know if he wasn’t talking about the 1986 “Transformers” animated film. Then Stephen King: “Michael Bay. The first.”

Michael Bay’s riot orgy “Transformers” is by no means a masterpiece, but it convinces as an entertaining popcorn cinema – and became a hit. The sci-fi actioner about alien robots grossed $709.7 million worldwide. It peaked at number 3 on the annual charts in the US with grossing $319.2 million. Stephen King also contributed to this – after all, he had to buy a cinema ticket first…

In his tweet, Stephen King also asked which films other Twitter users had left. In doing so, he also had to put up with the fact that some people left the room during “The Dark Tower” – the adaptation of King’s best-selling series of the same name.

If you want to know which horror film Stephen King found so scary that he couldn’t finish watching it, you should take a look at the following article. Incidentally, this does not tally with the statement that “Transformers” is the only film he left the cinema early for – he watched said film on VHS:

This horror movie is too bad even for Stephen King – he couldn’t even finish it!
