Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp has a feature that can actually check the numbers your partner contacts most often.
You don’t need to be like a detective or look for ways to tap your partner’s cellphone. There is an easy way to find out who your partner contacts most often using their WhatsApp account.
However, first you need to borrow your partner’s cell phone first. Apart from that, he also has permission to access his WhatsApp account.
So next go to the WhatsApp application, this is the next step, quoted from the WhatsApp FAQ:
1. Click the three dots icon at the top right
2. Press the Settings button
3. Next select the Chats menu
4. Scroll down the screen and press the Chat history button
5. Press Export Chat
After that, you will see a list of contacts that the account frequently contacts. Apart from the list of frequently contacted contacts, there will also be those who have recently been contacted.
For the record, the top three numbers are contacts that are frequently contacted. The most contacted contacts can be seen in the Recent Chat menu.
New privacy features
Some time ago WhatsApp launched a feature called Disappearing Messages.
As the name suggests, this feature allows users to delete all existing messages automatically according to the selected duration.
There are a number of time options for this feature, namely 90 days, 7 days and 24 hours.
This feature can be used for individual and group chats. WhatsApp has also just added a new option for Disappearing Messages in group chats, but the feature is optional and doesn’t change what was there before.
When Disappearing Messages is activated, there will be a notification in the chat room. That way other users can know the feature is being used.
“WhatsApp users will have the option to activate disappearing messages by default for all chats. When activating it, all your or other people’s chats will be set to disappear for the selected duration,” wrote WhatsApp, quoted Monday (1/4/2024).
The way to use Disappearing Messages is to open Settings and click Account.
Next, go to the Privacy menu and click Default message timer, finally select the desired duration.
