Titanosaurus The World’s Largest Dinosaur Fossil, 30 Meters Long

Scientists at Australia have classified the species dinosaur new, discovered in 2007, as the largest species ever found on the continent.

Australotitan cooperensis or “southern titan”, is one of the 15 largest dinosaurs found worldwide.

Experts say the titanosaurs were up to 6.5 m high and 30 m long, or “the length of a basketball court”.

His skeleton was first found on a farm in southwest Queensland.

Paleontologists have been working for the past decade to identify the dinosaur – distinguishing it from other known species by comparing scans of its bones with those of other sauropods.
