Timo Werner actually still wants to continue at RB Leipzig and appear in the Champions League quarterfinals, but it can’t be done. This is the reason.
Werner has completed the 2019/2020 Bundesliga with Leipzig last weekend. After this Werner will fly to London to continue his career as a Chelsea player on July 1.
The club nicknamed The Blues had brought him from Leipzig with a tag of 47.5 million. Werner’s move is so fast it invites questions in the minds of supporters of Die Rotten Bullen.
Because, Leipzig will still appear in the Champions League quarterfinals next August and Werner’s energy is certainly needed. He is the team’s top scorer this season with 34 goals from 45 appearances.
Unfortunately, Werner chose to wear blue and blue faster. Regarding the reason for not wanting to appear in the Champions League, Werner could not do much because he was a Chelsea player according to the contract.

“It’s clear that all parties – Chelsea, RB and me – should be able to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Of course I have tried as much as possible to keep playing in the Champions League, because if not I will hurt one party,” he continued.
“That is why my agent has finally been able to reach such an agreement with the whole club.”
