For the Corrèze festival, this award at the Angoulême Film Festival is a source of pride and marks, once again, the seriousness of the Brive selections in terms of medium-length films each year.

“Time to Love” by Katell Quillévéré distinguished himself twice at the 16ᵉ Francophone Film Festival of Angoulême (FFA) which ended on Sunday evening:

Tribute to the film, first of all, which receives the Valois of Diamond, the highest distinction. Tribute also to its main actor, Vincent Lacostewho also receives the interpretation prize, the Valois of the actor.

A news welcomed with pleasure in Brive where the director is well known since she is co-founder of the international festival of medium-length film with Sébastien Bailly, a cultural meeting which she organized for three years.

She also participated as a juror. It is also on this occasion that she met Anaïs Demoustier, the main actress of her last film.

Time to Love is his fourth feature film.

His first feature, “A Violent Poison” received the Jean-Vigo Prize in 2010.

Her second feature, Suzanne, was well received by critics and received five nominations for the 2014 César. Adele Haenel to win the César for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2020, Katell Quilleveré came to Brive to present her third feature film “Repairing the Living”.

Questioned by telephone this Monday, Maguy Cisterne, general secretary of this Corrèze festival, is delighted with this first prize:

It’s a point of pride for us, because the festival has always positioned itself as a talent revealer. Moreover, it is in Brive that Justine Triet, palme d’or this year at Cannes, presented her first film. It was also there that she met her partner and co-screenwriter Arthur Harari.
