– Let it rain heavily, Tor Endresen sang in 1991, and has been predicting autumn weather in Bergen correctly year after year.
Autumn was also relatively rainy in 2022.
In October it rained 14% more than normal and November started with the weather with umbrella and rubber boots.
He could see the sun
On duty meteorologist Haldis Berge has little positive news to report when the BA reporter asks for a forecast for the next period.
– It’s autumn time. Several low pressures will pass, which means that we will have a lot of precipitation.
If the weatherman is to be believed, it may seem that it is only Sunday afternoon that you can count on some extended time over the weekend. However, Berge cannot promise sunshine.
– If the clouds clear before the sun has set, you can catch a glimpse of the sun. But the cloud cover appears to clear up around sunset, so this is uncertain.
– Typical autumn weather
From Monday it could be even worse.
– There may be periods of rain on Mondays when a rainy front comes towards the coast. It is Tuesday, and perhaps Wednesday, which seem to be the days when the most rainfall will occur. Tuesday will probably be wet.
When asked if we can hope for stable time periods in the future, Berge responds rather hesitantly.
– There seems to be more half-day stays. It is the typical autumn weather.
The November weather turns out to produce more puddles than sunshine, for so long. However, the weatherman can give us a little straw of joy.
– The good thing is that the weather is mild right now. From night to Monday it can be cooler, but otherwise it is between six and nine degrees.
