The riders had to cover 35.4 kilometers over 4 laps. The first part of the lap was downhill, followed by a long climb in two parts.
The first part was 1.3 kilometers with an average of 4%. The second part – towards the finish – was 1.1 kilometers with an average of 3%.
Tim Celen and the German Jäger did the forcing on the climb during the second lap. The two gradually increased their lead and stayed together until the final sprint.
In the sprint there was no size on our compatriot. He took the victory several lengths ahead of Jäger. Another German Schmidt completed the podium.
Celen achieves the same result as hand biker Maxime Hordies. Both have shown that their condition is optimal for the World Championship next week, which takes place in Baie-Comeau (Canada).
