Till Lindemann: New Solo Album ‘Zunge’, European Tour, and Controversy

A new solo album ‘Zunge’ and a new tour through Europe. Till Lindemann is once again fully focused on his career after the suspension of the investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. The Public Prosecution Service in Berlin opened the investigation at the beginning of this summer, but closed it again in August. No evidence was found. Despite this, action is still being taken against Lindemann throughout Germany, with the demand that all concerts on his tour be canceled.

Various musicians, cultural centers and associations wrote an open letter to this effect. “These concerts are not safe places and must therefore be stopped,” they state, among other things. Lindemann was accused, among other things, of recruiting young female fans who wanted to have sex with him. According to the letter, there is a possibility that “the system of recruitment and abuse will continue.”

In Leipzig, where the ‘Rammstein’ singer starts his tour tonight, it is the feminist group FemStreik that has been standing up against Lindemann for weeks. “We have contacted the arena to demand that the concert be canceled,” it said. However, the organizer did not respond to this, so FemStreik is also planning a rally for the Quarterback Arena tonight. Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. – when fans arrive – they will protest under the motto ‘No stage for Till Lindemann’. “Together with many others, we will show that we believe those affected and stand in solidarity with them,” FemStreik explains.

Lindemann also makes a stop in our country during his European tour. On December 10, the singer will make his appearance in a sold-out Lotto Arena in Antwerp. Those who have not yet been able to get tickets but still want to see him at work can still set their sights on the extra Rammstein concert in Ostend next year. The German band’s first show on June 27 sold out in just fifteen minutes, so a second show was announced for June 28. Tickets are still available via greenhousetalent.com.
