Social networking site TikTok will offer its users the opportunity to purchase products sold by the creators on the platform.
For the new service, TikTok is extending its collaboration with the Shopify platform, which offers tools to set up online shops. Initially, the collaboration between the two platforms allowed Canadian users to advertise on TikTok.
Users will soon be able to set up a boutique on TikTok and also add links to the products to the videos they post on the platform. TikTok has more than 100 million users in the United States alone.

Reality star Kylie Jenner, owner of a makeup brand valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, will be one of the first to use the new service, Shopify said in a press release.
TikTok, a subsidiary of the Chinese group ByteDance, unlike platforms like YouTube, has waited a long time to monetize the videos, allowing users to monetize the content. Last year, however, the company focused on advertising.
