After the films “X” and “Pearl”, Ti West will conclude his horrific trilogy around celebrity with “MaxXxine”, still starring Mia Goth. New elements about the film have been revealed.
X : a little-known horror film
At the start of 2022, a little hype began to build around a horror film titled X. Directed by Ti West, the feature film won over American critics. It was only several months later, on November 2, 2022, that this fascinating work arrived in French theaters. Worn by Mia GothBrittany Snow, Kid Cudi and especially Jenna Ortegathe film unfortunately did not benefit from the growing popularity of the latter to attract a large audience. But we strongly advise you to catch up X if you haven’t seen it yet.

A fan of genre cinema, Ti West offers with Chainsaw Massacre by adding the theme of porn from the end of the 1970s. Indeed, the story takes place in the depths of Texas while a small team of young people rents an isolated house to film their X-rated film. But the owners, a couple of rather strange elderly characters, then launched into a proper massacre.
More X is not only a tribute to Tobe Hooper’s film. Ti West actually starting out here a trilogy around celebrity. After Xthere have been Pearla prequel even more exciting than X, with an exceptional Mia Goth. Martin Scorsese had also declared to have been terrorized by this film which this time evokes more the cinema of Alfred Hitchcock. It’s a shame that the film was released directly to us in DVD et Blu-ray…

The following MaxXxine way Scream ?
After the 1970s and the end of the 1910s, Ti West will this time do a good one in 1980s Los Angeles with MaxXxine which will conclude his trilogy. Mia Goth will reprise her role as the film’s sole survivor Xleft for Los Angeles with the aim of becoming an actress. But while the project was announced more than a year ago, it is only today that we are learning new details about the film thanks to Scream Horror.
According to the magazine, Ti West will tackle another subgenre of horror with MaxXxine which should be him and “whodunit slasher“. A genre which consists of featuring a killer that the heroes try to unmask while the corpses pile up. One of the references of the genre would obviously be to the saga Scream. There should therefore be many deaths around Mia Goth again, but with a more investigative approach (X being more one survival et Pearl a dramatic thriller).
Finally, according to IMDB, the cast of MaxXxine should consist of important names with, among others, Elizabeth DebickiGiancarlo Esposito, Kevin Bacon, or encore Michelle Monaghan. There is still no release date in the United States and France, but a trailer should be revealed soon.
